That's in addition to the many other ways practitioners can learn from practitioners at this 20th annual conference, which is scheduled for March 27-30 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. Vince Baudo of CNA Insurance will discuss "Ergonomics and Return on Investment" at 8 a.m. March 28. The other two featured speakers, Davana Pilczuk of Gulfstream Aero- space Corp. and Mary Willa Matz of Patient Care Ergonomic Solutions LLC, are on the dock at a session designed specifi- cally for executives from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. that day. Baudo will provide success stories to illustrate ways to quan- tify the return on investment for ergonomic projects. Listeners will learn barriers that safety professionals encounter and hear about proven techniques to speak the language of manage- ment to get those all-important projects approved. Pilczuk's "Ergo Moneyball: Playing the Buy-in Game Dif- ferently" will teach lessons about gaining management buy-in, creating successful results and producing teams, and working with small budgets. Matz will talk about healthcare facility design and the im- pact of patient care ergonomics. Manual patient handling is risky for both patient and caregiver, and integrating patient handling technology into care design can benefit all con- cerned. Numerous breakout sessions, the internationally recognized Ergo Cup competition, networking opportunities, keynote speakers and pre-conference workshops offer a plethora of ways to take applicable knowledge back to your organization. And this year's venue, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, offers the chance for attendees to target another occupational health and safety issue: stress.
