Nussbaum, the HG Prillaman Professor at Virgin- ia Tech in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, has been the managing editor of the journal since its inaugural issue in 2013. While a lot has been accomplished in a publishing environment where it is difficult to carve a niche, Nussbaum be- lieves IISE Tra sactio s o ccupatio al Ergo omics a d Huma Factors can become one of the top journals in the field. He wanted a second term to bring the jour- nal closer to being well-established and recognized. His overall vision remains a publication that uses new and creative approaches to facilitate and en- hance communications within and between re- searchers and practitioners in ergonomics and human factors. He said he welcomes any ideas and suggestions for improvements. "Likely changes in the near future include a stronger integration with the IISE Applied Er- gonomics Conferences and further expansion of submission types," Nussbaum said. "I'm also confident that the journal will soon be indexed in several of the major systems." Nussbaum's second term, which also lasts four years, began this month.
